Automatic subtitles for vertical clips: nine styles
Clippi transcribes each word with its timestamp, then burns synchronised subtitles into the video. You choose the style when creating the project, or clip by clip in the editor.
What Clippi guarantees on every style
- Safe areas. Text stays inside the areas that the TikTok, Reels and Shorts interfaces don't cover; quality control rejects a clip if a line falls outside.
- Legibility. Capped reading speed, at most two lines (five rows for the cascade), no overlap between two subtitles.
- Manual correction. Each subtitle can be edited in the editor; SRT export is available.
- Language. With a Whisper transcription key: all languages. The fallback engine is limited to English and flagged in the interface.
The nine styles
Minimal
Plain white text, two lines at most. For content where the subtitle should fade into the background: interviews, training, podcasts.
Creator
Bold, strong outline, spoken word highlighted in yellow. The content creator look: legible on any image.
Bold
Heavy capitals, active word in bright green. For short hooks and fast-paced videos.
Podcast
Text on a translucent dark background. Stays legible over busy or bright footage.
Premium
Refined text, coloured active word, keyword in italics. For brand content and calmer formats.
Editorial
Zigzag cascade: one full word per row, a thin serif for running text and a black italic slab for the words that carry the meaning. Each word appears as it is spoken.
Pop
A single large word on screen, with a slight bounce. The keyword changes colour. For fast-paced videos and direct messages.
Neon
Cyan glow, active word in magenta. For music, nightlife, gaming and tech content.
Cinema
Classic serif caption, no effects. For film excerpts, long interviews and narrative content.
